Welcome to Lokademy! We're thrilled to have you on this journey to CSEC success.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Lokademy mobile application (the "App"), our website located at lokademy.com, and the services, content, and features offered through them (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is provided by Lokademy LLC ("Lokademy," "we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account, making a purchase, or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Accounts and Eligibility

  • Eligibility: To use our Service, you must be at least 18 years old or have the express permission of a parent or legal guardian. If you are a parent or guardian enabling a minor to use the Service, you agree to these Terms on their behalf and are responsible for their activity.

  • Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

2. The Lokademy Service

Lokademy provides a suite of digital educational tools, including but not limited to:

  • Online Courses ("Courses"): Multimedia educational content, including text, audio, and supplementary materials for CSEC subjects.

    • Founding Member Programs: If you enroll in a "Founding Member" or "Beta" program, you acknowledge that the course content is in development and will be released on a schedule ("dripped content") as described in the offer.

  • AI Tutors ("Kay"): Our AI-powered chatbots designed to provide supplemental, on-demand assistance for specific subjects.

    • Disclaimer: The AI Tutor is a powerful learning tool but is not a substitute for professional instruction from a qualified human teacher. The AI may occasionally produce inaccurate or incomplete information. You agree to use the AI Tutor as a supplemental guide and to always verify critical information against official course materials and other trusted sources.

  • The Lokademy Student Hub ("Community"): A private community space for members to connect, collaborate, and receive support.

3. User Conduct and Community Guidelines

By using our Service, especially the Community, you agree not to:

  • Post or share any content that is unlawful, hateful, defamatory, abusive, or discriminatory.

  • Engage in harassment, bullying, or personal attacks against other members or the Lokademy team.

  • Share or solicit answers to tests, engage in academic dishonesty, or violate any academic integrity policies.

  • Share your account login with others. Your access is for your personal use only.

  • Post spam, unauthorized advertisements, or self-promotion.

  • Infringe upon any intellectual property rights.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate the accounts of any users who violate these guidelines.

4. Subscriptions, Payments, and Refunds

  • Subscription: Our paid services are offered on a recurring monthly subscription basis. By purchasing a subscription, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

  • Billing: Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle. You are responsible for keeping your payment information up to date.

  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds will be issued. Upon cancellation, you will lose access to all paid content and the premium community at the end of the billing period.

  • Founding Member Pricing: If you enroll under a special "Founding Member" rate, this price is locked in for the life of your continuous subscription. If you cancel your subscription and re-subscribe at a later date, you will be subject to the current public pricing.

  • Refund Policy: We offer a 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee on your initial purchase. If you are not satisfied with the Service, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first payment. This refund policy does not apply to subsequent renewal payments.

5. Intellectual Property

All content provided through the Service, including the course text, audio, videos, graphics, software, trademarks, and the "Kay" persona, are the exclusive property of Lokademy LLC. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes. You may not reproduce, redistribute, sell, or create derivative works from our content.

6. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

  • The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we strive for excellence, we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely accurate.

  • No Guarantee of Grades: Lokademy provides high-quality educational tools and support. However, we do not and cannot guarantee any specific academic outcome, grade, or exam result. Your success depends on your own effort, dedication, and application of the material.

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lokademy LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Service.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on our website and app. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
